London Essex Area Paranormal Investigation Team, is a group of enthusiasts who all have one thing in common, the paranormal. Based in Essex, the team consists of a small team of regular members including a spiritualist medium, who are from the Essex and London area.

The group was formed in 2008 by Selina Dean and Alan Hall who prior to this was part of a very successful paranormal group for approximately 4 years. After much discussion between themselves, they decided to set up “L.E.A.P.” and try a different approach to the study of the paranormal.

In 2008, Selina and Alan appeared on London’s XFM radio station as part of the 24 hour breakfast show with T.V presenter, Alex Zane, and were recently invited to organise an investigation on behalf of another radio station based in Birmingham, Top Rock Radio, which took place in 9th century caves underneath the city of Nottingham. This was a very successful investigation.

The team use various pieces of equipment for their investigations, which includes night vision camcorders, digital cameras, motion sensors, digital temperature readers, EMF meters, sound recording equipment, dowsing rods, walkie talkies, trigger objects and wireless CCTV with monitors.

We have investigated every type of location possible even underground caves and have no limits to the size of the investigation, however large, small or strange! All locations can have complete piece of mind as we hold public and commercial liability insurance up to the value of five million pounds (with the largest UK paranormal insurers) and all of our members are security checked by the CRB.“L.E.A.P.” has a zero tolerance approach and will not condone any acts of violence, inappropriate behaviour, alcoholism, drug use or acts of vandalism.

When we complete an investigation, the team have certain roles by looking through the footage gathered. Our media analyst, condenses all of the video footage, sound recordings and photographs, then transfers onto DVD disc. This footage is then uploaded to the website along with all photographs and a written report (With the consent of the location). The findings from the investigation are available, free of charge to the location hosts upon request.

As mentioned earlier, all of our members are from different backgrounds and faiths, under no circumstances will any of our members enforce their beliefs to anyone. We conduct all investigations with an open mind regardless of the investigators beliefs, whether they be skeptics or believers. Not everything which we collaborate in an investigation is down to the paranormal, so all possible explanations are researched first. All of the information collected by the spiritualist medium is for entertainment purposes only and do not reflect the views of the other investigators & location’s hosts.

We are a voluntary group, who do not make money from these investigations by charging. We do not ask for payment.
